Our Story

 

Nijel's light was created in memory of my son, Nijel.

Nijel spent just six beautiful days in this world, but he changed my life forever. Although our time together was heartbreakingly short, the love he brought into my life will never fade. I promised myself that his light would continue to shine, and this business is one way I am keeping that promise.

What began as a way to honour my son has grown into something much bigger. Nijel’s Light is a faith inspired brand rooted in hope, kindness, and giving back. Every piece is thoughtfully created to remind others that even in life’s darkest moments, there is still light to be found.

Giving back is at the heart of everything we do. Twenty five percent of every purchase is donated to SickKids Foundation in Nijel’s memory, helping support childrenand families facing their own difficult journeys. My goal is to raise $25,000 so Nijel’s name can be permanently recognized on a plaque at SickKids Hospital, creating a lasting reminder that his life continues to make a difference.
